This is a story about a husband and wife, whose son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. They were overwhelmed with fear, worry, and pressure to find the best resources for their child. However, when they started attending WASH group meetings and events, they knew they were not alone in their journey. Many families share stories and support one another during these monthly meetings. The child care provided during the WASH meetings is another wonderful benefit for these families. The WASH coordinator frequently brings excellent speakers to the meetings to help families throughout their journey with autism. MOVAC provides much needed respite to families whose children are diagnosed with autism. The kids, and their siblings, truly enjoy the activities they participate in during respite times. The annual Christmas party is a very big deal to the kids.
