The United Way of Washington County has been working for your community since 1929.  Each contribution we receive helps provide health, disability, emergency, youth, senior, and family support services to the surrounding area.   You can help improve the quality of life in our community with your gift to the United Way.  Because of volunteers and low overhead costs, your contribution is an investment that is low cost and high yield, with a year-round, 24-hour-a-day return.   When you give to the United Way you make a difference -in the lives of your fellow community members in need and in shaping a better Washington County for everyone.  Your caring is the best way to assure services are there when people need a helping hand.  With your gift, you are investing in people who live right here in your community-the family down the street, the child across town, your family and friends.   Your contribution is an example of the compassion that lives within each of us.  It is the hope that unites us all.  It is the spirit that has the volunteers and non-profit organizations of your United Way working harder than ever to make your generosity felt throughout the entire county.  Caring for communities, every day in their time of need, that's how we live united.                                                    2012-2013 CAMPAIGN GOAL: $266,000
